Resources  for  Camps

Below are a variety of resources for camps and programs that are seeking, or looking to maintain, accreditation.

my  accreditation  tool

ACA has provided an online platform for camps and visitors to connect so that they may complete the Camp Self-Assessment.  This tool allows camps and visitors to upload documents and add comments.  Please take some time to view the tutorials on how to use this system to ensure its ease of use.  The My Accreditation Tool is also where the Annual Accreditation Report can be found. The Annual Accreditation Report is a way for camps to demonstrate their compliance with accreditation standards by submitting a narrative report. If you need access or have questions about the My Accreditation Tool contact Kim Steiner, Program Specialist, at kim@acail.org.

camp  information  form

Camp Information Form
The Camp Information Form gives visitors assigned to an on-site Accreditation Visit an peek into the camps program. It also provides contact information, dates and any specialized activities the camp offers. If you have questions about the Camp Information Form contact Kim Steiner, Program Specialist, at kim@acail.org.
Camp Self-Assessment
The Camp Self-Assessment is a review of written documentation for twenty pre-identified standards, sometimes the Camp Self-Assessment has been referred to as the "paperwork preview". It must be completed prior to the start of staff training for the summer season. If a camp wishes to review all written standards, the visitor may use the Expanded CSA worksheet, which is available on the Accreditation Resources page of the ACA website.
More Resources
Earning and maintaining ACA accreditation takes time and commitment.  ACA has many resources available to help you through this process including the web-based tool “My Accreditation”, samples of policies and procedures (Resources by Section of Standards), and forms and additional information that will assist you in this process.
