Vice president of the Board, Standards Chair, Visitor, Visitor Instructor, Mid States Conference Leadership Team, Day Camp conference Chair & SCLA instructor.

How long have you been a volunteer for ACA Illinois?
Since 1990

What drew you to getting involved in ACA Illinois?
You were supporting camp professionals at the highest level. I learned so much and wanted to help others learn.

What would you tell someone who was thinking about getting involved?
There are so many different ways to get involved.

What is the best part about volunteering for ACA Illinois?
I get to be around “my people” and learning all the time!

What is the most challenging part serving for ACA Illinois?
I want to help with everything. I need to be more realistic about my time.

What camp are you currently working at or are associated with?
Crystal lake Park District

What is your role at your camp?
I hire and oversee the Directors.

Tell us a little about your camp?
We have four age appropriate Day Camps. Ages 5-14. We are located in the morning on a lake but split up for the afternoon between Park Buildings and schools. We have about 300 children a week, 40 of which are special needs.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? 
Kayaking, reading and seeing movies with my husband and kids.
