Hear from a Few of Our Visitors
“Being a visitor has helped my personal and professional growth and increased my love of camp by exposing me to the work of amazing camp professionals that have a common goal of developing youth. You would think that the process of evaluating a group of standards would be rigid and boring; however, each professional shares their unique approach to youth development through the power of their camp. It has opened my eyes to new ideas and creative ways of thinking that has given me fresh perspective and additional enthusiasm for camp.“
- Michael Selep, Immediate Past President & Visitor
"I became a visitor for a few reasons. First, it’s a great way to give back to the field that has provided so much for me. Second, it’s a great way to learn from other camp professionals and see a wide variety of facilities."
- Dr. Megan Owens, Assistant Professor at WIU
