ACA Illinois supports Better Camping for All. Affinity groups represent those who share identities, serve similar types of campers, or work in similar organizations. Affinity groups are safe and inclusive spaces dedicated to fostering community for those camp professionals who share a common identity. These groups can be based on various identities and are designed to be celebratory and joyful while still addressing important issues. Join ACA Illinois for:

• A brave space for sharing experiences without judgment.
• Opportunities for networking and mentoring.
• Discussions on challenges and developing strategies to foster equity and inclusion.

If you are interested in starting or joining an affinity group for a particular identity or community, please complete this interest form. ACA Illinois’ DEIAJ and Anti-Racism Committee will review all submissions monthly at their meetings. Please note that it may take up to 4-6 weeks to hear back. Once the Affinity Group has been formed, ACA Illinois will schedule and host the virtual meetings.
