The Q Center is the Midwest’s largest meeting and convention center! Located on a sprawling 95 acres, the it offers a unique conference experience. Surrounded by green space, the Q Center isn’t your typical conference hotel; it's a venue designed for extended learning experiences such as The Director’s School.

By Airplane:
Participants can choose to fly into O’Hare International Airport or Midway International Airport. Transportation to and from the airport can be accomplished through ride share, rental car, or private car service.
By Train:
Amtrak will get you to Chicago Union Station. From Chicago Union Station, you can switch trains and stations to a Metra line in Chicago and take the train to the Geneva stop, followed by a short ride-share or taxi to the Q Center. Click here for Amtrak and here for Metra.

**SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT TRAVEL TIMING** We want participants to get the most value out of this experience. The content of this program has been designed for participants to attend the full program. We ask that participants plan to attend the full duration of The Director’s School. Due to the time of year, we recommend participants arrive a day prior or very early on day one to allow for flight and travel delays. When scheduling departing flights or trains, please note that Chicago traffic is heavy on Friday afternoons and evenings. The Director’s School ends at 4:00pm CDT. We recommend booking flights or trains no earlier than 8:30pm CDT to ensure there is enough time to get to the airport/station and get through security. Participants can add nights at the Q Center to accommodate travel needs for an extra fee by contacting reigstration@acail.org. |
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in your registration fee. All meals are served in Q Dining, a space dedicated to providing many options for participants to choose from. This includes seasonal dishes, classic favorites, salads, soups, sandwiches and more! Please note that vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options are available in Q Dining for everyone.
Mornings and afternoons feature "Refreshment Breaks" that offer healthy and tasty snacks and beverages for all participants. Again, at the Q Center it's it's all about choice. Learn more here about dining at the Q Center.
Have a food allergy or specific diet? ACA Illinois seeks venues that can accommodate most specific food needs, however we always want to be sure we can meet yours and come up with a plan! During the application process, it will ask for any food allergies and special diets. If you have questions or want to get more information, reach out to our team at registration@acail.org anytime!
